S&G Air Conditioning Contracts Ltd were employed by Trefoil Interiors to carry out the design and installation of air conditioning systems serving the Second Floor of an existing office space in Llanishen, Cardiff.
As there were already AC units installed on site we were asked to decommission and remove the existing units in line with current legislation and then install new AC equipment. The existing MVHR units were tested to ensure they could achieve the correct air volumes and once confirmed they were serviced and all replacement primary duct work, grilles etc installed.
We stripped out all the existing air conditioning, primary and toilet extract ductwork.
Two new Samsung VRF systems were installed to serve the two separate wings. A central controller was installed to control the system with capacity to add further systems on the two remaining floors.
Following a validation of the existing Mitsubishi Lossnay HRUs, we were able to reuse several of them to meet our design criteria. All new supply and extract ductwork was installed.
We installed a new Vent-Axia twin extract fan c/w auto changeover panel in the attic space serving the male and female toilets on all three floors.
All the air conditioning and ventilation systems were commissioned and balanced.
