S&G Air Conditioning Contracts Ltd were employed by Paramount to carry out the installation of replacement air conditioning and ventilation systems serving the Third and Fourth Floors of the existing office space within this landmark building in Cardiff.
As there were already gas-powered AC units installed on site we were asked to isolate, decommission and remove the existing units in line with current legislation and then install new AC equipment. The existing MVHR units were also replaced on both floors.
Additionally, we also carried out installation of new air conditioning units to the lift lobby areas as well as replacement LTHW radiators to the Ground Floor Reception.
We stripped out all the existing air conditioning systems and the MVHR units on both floors.
Six new Samsung VRF systems were installed to serve the three separate wings on each floor. The systems consisted of a mixture of fan coil unit types including concealed ducted and 360-degree cassettes. A central controller was installed to control the systems.
The six existing mechanical ventilation HRUs were isolated, removed and replaced with new, like for like, LMF Clima units utilising the existing primary duct work already installed.
Two new Samsung split systems were installed to serve the Lift Lobbies on both Third and Fourth floors.
All the air conditioning and ventilation systems were commissioned and balanced.
