Our Challenge

S&G Air Conditioning Contracts Ltd were employed by Structuretone to supply and install replacement Toshiba Heat Recovery VRF systems on the Ground and Fourth floors of the office block. The project was phased and coordinated with other trades working on the full office refurbishment, with the added pressure of shipping all plant and installation materials to the Channel Island via customs to ensure the program was met. 

Our Solution

We supplied and installed Toshiba Heat Recovery VRF and systems which consisted of external condensing units, internal flow selector boxes, ceiling mounted ducted fan coils and new secondary ductwork and grilles. The existing systems were de-commissioned and stripped out, with the riser pipework remaining in situ due to it being inaccessible.  We utilised Toshiba’s replacement technology VRF system which allowed us to use the existing riser pipework after a successful integrity and pressure test despite it being a different size. S&G are a Toshiba accredited installer and are able to offer a 7-year warranty on the equipment which was a requirement of the tender package.

The Toshiba systems were all connected to a new Toshiba Smart Controller which can control every new internal unit individually as well as allowing for future expansion within the building.

The existing primary air ductwork system was modified to suit the new fan coil layout to ensure the correct levels of fresh air was provided to the office space. The system was validated prior to works being undertaken to ensure no additional supply air was taken from the other floors of the building.

• Installation of Toshiba Heat Recovery Replacement Technology VRF Air Conditioning Systems
• Installation of Toshiba Smart Manager Central Controller
• Modification of existing primary air system
• Full commissioning of Toshiba equipment and balancing of Primary Air system
